Targeting Behaviours

Projects are created by Ethical Angel based on the behaviours and skills an organisation wants to target for that learner base. Every project can target four behaviours that are experienced by learners at different stages. IponWeb targeted:

  1. "Demonstrate knowledge of financial and operational aspects of the organisation"
  2. "Show knowledge of the wider market and business landscape"
  3. "Actively work in partnership with others"
  4. "Produce high quality written material, presentations, content and reports

Match With a Cause

Once a project has been created, Ethical Angel's technology promotes it to our global community of charities, social enterprises, NGOs and impact startups "causes". Every cause on Ethical Angel supports one or more United Nations, Sustainable Development Goals - which we use to match individual learners with causes that most matter to them. In the IponWeb trial, the cause the learners were matched with was called GOODcompany.

"Thank you so much, we are a small team and this type of support is key to our success"

Real-World Learning

Each project is made up of four defined stages: Discovery, Design, Deliver, Review where each of the targeted behaviours and skills is experienced and reviewed by the cause. IponWeb had the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge and practice critical behaviours in a safe real-world experience.

"This was a great and somewhat forgotten experience to stay in the role of a consultant. I wish I could contribute more to Sarah and other organizations listed on Ethical Angel."

Reporting and GAP Analysis

The final delivery of the project completes the experience, in the case of IponWeb this was sharing a report on competitor analysis with GOODcompany. At this point the reporting is shared with the learner and their employer so they can see the impact of the learning experience on the targeted behaviours and skills. Ethical Angel uses 23 metrics from Net-Promoter Scoring to qualitative reflections.

The results of this project can be seen here:

Self-Led Learning

Learning does not finish with completion of the project. Each learner now has personal reflections and feedback to determine which areas they should practice more with additional projects. Ethical Angel continues to match learners with the right projects for their learning aspirations as well as matching their personal preferences for the type of cause they want to impact.

"I have previously done consulting work and enjoyed being able to have an external perspective. I was happy to work in a team and we were able to work in a way that worked for both of us."

Eugene Karavaev, Head of Learning and Development, IponWeb
